Long time no see. Summer and life have interfered with my blog life.
But I have had some fun things working on my easel this summer. This one is called "little red chair". I used old papers to collage the chair. It was tedious but I really liked the result.
And this one is called "Come, sit a spell". The paper is really old stained paper from an old Sears Roebuck Catalogue and some not so old paper. I had wanted to add something more to
these but just couldn't make it work.
And blooming in the garden, inspite of torrential rains daily, a couple of dendrobium orchids.
Summer is quickly flying by and before we know it fall will be here.
these but just couldn't make it work.

Wow, love how you created your chairs and the backgrounds make them pop.
I love how you collaged your beautiful chair paintings on the backgrounds.
Your art is always creative.
Happy PPF and weekend xx
Hi Susan, each of your chairs are marvellous and using the old newspaper is certainly a great choice. It gives them a charming feel. Great backgrounds too.
The orchid photos are delightful and the raindrops are like little jewels.
Happy PPF :D)
Love your chair pieces, the garden flowers are beautiful. Welcome back!
Love those chairs, I would love to be sitting in one just now. Gorgeous orchids, too. Hugs, Valerie
So lovely and creative are these chairs!
Happy PPF!!!
Your collage chairs are just spot on in shape and design- well done Susan! Gorgeous looking orchids. Happy PPF, and enjoy what remains of summer!
Love your chair designs and the mixed media feel. An old Sears catalog??? Are there still any around? I remember them being about 8" thick!
That collage of text works amazingly well on these chairs. It almost looks like old wood. Such a great idea! I also like how the background shines through. I don't think these need anything more, is perfect as it is! Happy PPF ♥
