Challenge #56

Phew!  This was a CHALLENGE!  The Diva challenged us to do a tangle using only our non dominant hand.  I tried and never completed this challenge last year.  Interestingly as I tangled this year, I thought of a friend that had a stroke this past year and deals with similar frustration every hour of every day.  And I thought of the neighbor child whose parents made him write with his right hand (and then complained all through elementary school about his messy work).  It wasn't a zenlike experience for me but it certainly has made me think.  I am grateful my "parts" are working today.  How about you?

Susan, this challenge also made me grateful for my working parts and empathetic to those that face this challenge everyday. Great job!

I certainly felt much more appreciative of being able to use my 'other' hand, the one I always use. Not as zen as usual, that too. But beautiful. As is your ZIA. I love it.

I also had thoughts of gratitude as I worked on my tangle. Struggling to keep my non-dom hand from going off in all kinds of directions other than I wanted it to. Your tangle turned out great!

We really ARE lucky to have the mobility and control to create the beautiful work we so enjoy. This challenge was an eye-opener. Despite the difficulty, your work looks great!

You've produce a joyful image. How sad for your neighbor to have to suppress his left-handedness/right-brainedness during his youth! back to your image, though...while it wasn't a zenlike experience for you, it is certainly a soothing image to view!

It look like two snails kissing. Brilliant and unique work you have done with non-domination hand. Thank you for sharing the experience.

I see a lovely snail! Great response to this challenging challenge! Good point about how we used to "force" kids to use their right hand!
