I decided to try using Golden Molding paste and a stencil on yupo.
I let the paste dry a couple of days and then sprayed the whole thing with
water and then used my watercolors. Interesting result with lots of texture.
The paint settled in the low areas giving dimension and deeper color in those areas.
Has anyone else used this paste? I would be interested in your results.

I have never tried it but I LOVE the results, very fascinating. Had to laugh at he thought of the wobble-neck cormorants you told me about! Hug, Valerie
That's gorgeous! I haven't tried that paste, but I love what you did with it!
I LOVE using molding paste but i have never tried it on yupo paper. Fabulous shading and dimension achieved with this paper-wow!
Lovely and colorful.
Love the effect of this. I use molding past all the time but not with yupo or watercolors.
Very pretty... LOVE the colours and great texture!

A beautiful experiment. I used the paste once on a picture of Marie Antionette. I used it for the curls in her hair.
Beautiful effect! Looks really eye-catching!
Wonderful! I have used this molding paste - and I use it to "sculpt" flowers and foliage with my palette knife. I use it on masonite and then paint when dry with acrylics and sometimes oils. Happy PPF :)
I have never tried it myself but the colors and the effects are lovely.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for the lovely comment.
