Derwent Inktense pencils and Aqua Flow brushes =FUN

Letter practice and expected new baby work together here.
Strathmore watercolor classes

I treated myself to the Derwent Inktense pencils and Aqua Flow brushes last week sometime.  In the midst of visits from grandchildren (for spring break), they arrived.  With all of the activity around here, trip to Disneyworld and the Everglades for a Speedy's Airboat ride, there wasn't much time for art.  However with these pencils you don't need much time and the brushes are portable so these are the results.   The colors are so vivid and very easy to work with.  My background disappointed me on the pink and yellow flowers but I think I need to work on that a bit more.   I love blending them.  They are not unlike Tombow markers but I think I have more control with the pencils.  Today (Sunday) is quiet so will play around a bit more with my new toys.

  1. Are these watercolor pencils or plain colored ones. They are very vibrant and I'm curious to know more. Love all your flowers :)

    1. They are like a watercolor pencil but are ink and permanent. When you add the water to them, the color comes alive.

  2. i think the pink flowers are beautiful! i was watching a video just last night about these aqua flow brushes and your pencils. i may need to look into these, too :)

I love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day and come back soon.
