Caged Butterflies

Jailed Johnnie is a toughie.
One of my problems was no matter how I drew it, I saw butterflies.
So call mine "caged butterflies.

You are right, there are butterflies in this tangle. I like how you went with the flow of what you were seeing. Very nice.

I see also butterflys, but i love your way of tangle this pattern. Maybe when you draw 3 petals instead of 2 you don't see butterflys anymore.;-)))))))

Carmela has a point. If you draw 3 or more petals, you won't have butterflies anymore. I for one love butterflies, so I really love what you did here. I may have to change the focus of my tile to include butterflies. Hmmm

This tile flows so beautifully; I like the tangle used as a border too!

I like how you did the pattern, and I think Carmela and Audrie are right, I wanted to suggest the same: more petals, BUT I love butterflies, so I think 2 petals look great, for making butterflies out of jailed johnny. I especially love the butterflies in the center.

Great interpretation of the challenge! It's fun to see the caged butterflies instead of the Jailed Johnnies.

Love the way that you caged the Johnny in with the loops over the central part.

Definitely butterflies, but at first I saw a staircase too. Really like it :)

I really like your butterflies version of Jailed Johnny too - and I LOVE the way you incorporated Floatfest!

Great combination of tangles. It is interesting how people can see so many different variations with the same tangle.
