Weaves and texture

This background was just waiting to become a weave so this week I went to work on it
It is always difficult to get started, "over, under, over, under" but once you have it,
you have it.
I also have been playing with Golden Molding Paste and stencils on yupo.
After letting the paste dry, I add watercolor.  The results here are interesting

So that is all of the fun this week.
Wishing all a Happy Paint Party Friday

Often iI have come up with the beginnings of weaving but I've never taken it this far. It's marvelous! And I like the effect you got with the molding paste, watercolors on Yupo too.

Lovely works. I especially like the upper one, reminds me of some sort of fabric. Love the fine white lines in it.

Did physically weave strips of paper or did you paint the shadows to represent weaving? Either way, it is stunning!

What a great new (to me) technique. Yupo is a paper that yields fun surprises! Your works are very nice! I've not tried any Golden paints but should give them a try. Thanks for sharing!
