Moleskins and fountains

It was Christmas in August for me this week.  I had ordered a red Moleskin sketch
book online.  It arrived...with my first ever TWSBI540 fountain pen.
What a treat!  Now I have to get myself geared up to journal.
I cannnot tell you how lovely this pen feels on the paper. For whatever
reason, it makes me think of smooth and delicious.

The pen arrived in an amazing box.  It made me think of tidy Tokyo, all organized
and efficient.

The actual plastic pen box is a beautiful shape and set up for easy display of the pen.
And, most important, the price was right.  I think fifty five dollars is reasonable
for such a lovely writing tool.
In this sketch, I have used Noodlers waterproof ink and watercolor.
Happy PPF to all!!!

  14. Beautiful sketch. It reminds me of Mississippi! Glad you got your new pen. One of these days, I ill have to buy something besides Sharpies and Pentel!

  15. Enjoy your new pen! I´m looking for something with that same "butter" feeling locally.
The branches of your tree flow with such a vitality! I like the wrting on the scene, it adds a lot to the piece as a whole.

  16. Enjoy your new supplies! :) Your page is beautiful, lovely landscape, loose and airy!

  17. I love moleskins.=, but your fountain pen is just gorgeous.

  18. I love your journal painting. I think if the pen is so pleasant to use it will only encourage more art making and I think that's great!

  19. Ooooh. I have wanted a really nice fountain pen for the longest time--Maybe I will have to ask for one for the actual Christmas!

The journal painting is terrific--I love that it spreads over two pages--

I love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day and come back soon.
