Moleskins and fountains

It was Christmas in August for me this week.  I had ordered a red Moleskin sketch
book online.  It arrived...with my first ever TWSBI540 fountain pen.
What a treat!  Now I have to get myself geared up to journal.
I cannnot tell you how lovely this pen feels on the paper. For whatever
reason, it makes me think of butter...so smooth and delicious.

The pen arrived in an amazing box.  It made me think of tidy Tokyo, all organized
and efficient.

The actual plastic pen box is a beautiful shape and set up for easy display of the pen.
And, most important, the price was right.  I think fifty five dollars is reasonable
for such a lovely writing tool.
In this sketch, I have used Noodlers waterproof ink and watercolor.
Happy PPF to all!!!

Your sketch is so serene. I lived in Florida for many years and my favorite part of the landscape was the banyan trees. That pen is soooo tempting!

Your pen (and journal!) look like quite a treat! Isn't it FUN to get stuff like that in the mail?
Your journal paintings are great - especially that tree. Great work! It feels like the tree is gonna come off the page. Beautiful. xox

Enjoy your new pen! I´m looking for something with that same "butter" feeling locally.
The branches of your tree flow with such a vitality! I like the wrting on the scene, it adds a lot to the piece as a whole.

I love your journal painting. I think if the pen is so pleasant to use it will only encourage more art making and I think that's great!

Ooooh. I have wanted a really nice fountain pen for the longest time--Maybe I will have to ask for one for the actual Christmas!

The journal painting is terrific--I love that it spreads over two pages--
