Reunion

We did it!  We met my husband's daughter at a hotel in the center of the state.  Wow!  Words can not describe the emotions we all felt on this meeting.  I am sure our anticipation fed into that emotion but it was really quite amazing.  Because we had exchanged a lot of emails, we really felt like we knew each other before we actually met.  Her husband, who is one year and one day younger ( isn't that weird?) than my husband, came along with her.

She was loaded with questions and he answered them all (and I learned a few things in the process).
After the first evening, we drove over to our home and they spent a long weekend with us.  I think we all enjoyed ourselves and thank goodness for Harley (our mischieveous Bichon) who kept us entertained when things got heavy.  Mostly, it was like entertaining old friends.

We put them on the plane and absolutely collapsed.  No physical labor has ever worn us out like this weekend has.  One good nights sleep did not repair the damage...it has taken days.  This was a life changing event for us and for her, I am sure.

"Harley"
Where do we go from here?  None of us knows for sure but we are moving in the right direction.

Happy Paint Party Friday

I'm so pleased your meeting went well. It could have been very awkward, but taking things a step at a time and not rushing anything is probably the best way. I love your little dog Harley, he is SO cute!

Susan, I don't know the details of this but get the gist and congrats...it feels very emotional. I am so pleased for everyone. It is wonderful when things work out this way....a process in the works no doubt. And reunion....beautifully done. Your blog is gorgeous. Susan, I would like to subscribe by email. Would you consider putting a subscribe by email gadget/widget on your blog so I could and let me know? Lovies, Samara - Happy PPF.

Wow this is all so heavy. I can't even imagine... Immerse yourself in your art, which is beautiful by the way!! Love Harley... he is much like my little Bichon who passed about five years ago now...he was such a monkey full of personality and a little feisty too...smart as a whip though!!
Wishing you all the best!
