It pays to play

More of the same, but it is always different!
This is acrylic paint on yupo.  I let it sit a bit and then dragged a comb through it
Yet another background

We have a beautiful passion vine that covers an arbor.
Each year it is chewed to pieces by the caterpillars of the fritillary butterfly.
But then they "transform" and my side yard is filled with these little beauties.
Wishing you all a Happy PPF!

Pretty. I need to try acrylic paint on yupo. I've used it with watercolor which was fun. Love how your piece came out.

I love the way the colors seem to vibrate through the web created by the paint combing. Nature is one of the best inspirations for art. Blessings!

Beautiful painted paper. I haven't tried yupo yet. Does the acrylic crack or peel if the paper bends?

It's fascinating to see all the different effects you can achieve with painting on yupo. Another great background! And that picture is just beautiful, the flower as well as the butterfly....

How wonderful that you are visited by the monarch. They are becoming endangered because so many of the milkweed plants that they need for reproducing are dying from chemical sprays. very wonderful background painting this week. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog.
