It's a Start

It's a start
I am not quite sure where I am going with this so we will call it a WIP.
I wanted to use only three colors (but cheated a bit under the ear, unfortunately)
and have the colors on the elephant more intense.  It didn't quite work as I had envisioned.
It is grey and damp in Florida today so maybe I will just sit down and try it again.
Happy PPF

I like your colorful elephant, Susan. I once took a oil painting course where we could only use red, blue and yellow. It was very interesting. I learned to make brown but some colors didn't do well. Keep on with this WIP. I think you will be pleased with it when it's done. Thanks for visiting my blog today.

I like this background and the elephant blending into it like camoflage.
Curious what you might change! HPPF!

I think it's a great start! He just needs a bit of anchoring at the bottom. Hope he turned out the way you wanted.

It is a great start, I can see him developing from the strong shadows. Keep on!

I love the gentle delicate way you give dignity to such a huge animal, I would have never thought of approaching the subject this way and I think it's inspired and you should love the way it's progressing so beautifully :) well done!

I think it's very sweet, the elephant looks like every bit of it was done with love. The colors are so soft and I think very pretty.
